Announcement: Counselling by Email Launching Spring 2024
Is 2024 the year you’ve decided to get some support from a therapist?
But perhaps you’re struggling to find the time to book a specific weekly slot, or maybe you’d like to work online, but it’s difficult to find the privacy that you need to be able to speak freely.
It could be that you really want to express what’s on your mind but you are not comfortable being ‘in front’ of someone.
Maybe you’d rather type than talk. Which is great as it also gives you the opportunity to review what you’re typing, and edit or delete until you’re happy with what it is that you want to say.
Does that sound like the kind of support that might suit you better?
If so, please read on for more details …
Last year I completed additional specialist training in offering email counselling and, after some further CPD and research this year, I am delighted to be able to offer this service to new clients.
Such a lot has been going on behind the scenes to work out the very best way to incorporate Counselling by Email into my Practice …
And we are now ready to be able to launch this flexible, effective and reflective way of accessing therapy which is becoming a popular alternative to the more traditional approach.
There are so many ways in which Counselling by Email may suit you but here are some of the reasons why people are choosing to conduct their sessions in this way …
• It is incredibly powerful
• It offers you flexibility and is perfect if you struggle to schedule in-person or online sessions during the day, or if you don’t have enough privacy available to you to be able to speak out loud
• It can feel a safer way to access therapy if you feel too self conscious or too anxious to speak or to be seen
• It may just suit you better if you feel more at home communicating in writing
• It gives you lots of time to think about your responses and you will have a permanent record of all of your sessions to look back on
Lastly, for now, I just want to reassure you that Counselling by Email is not a lesser option compared to in-person sessions for example … it is a different option.
At the time of writing this I am accepting new clients.
Please do get in touch if you are interested in working with me to check availability because I consciously limit the number of clients I have within my Practice. This is an ethical consideration on my part and it ensures that I can give every one of my clients my very best focus, attention and care in our work together.
